Reception #2 in Texas

Friday we flew to Texas for another reception for Aaron and Stefani.
We got there in the evening and checked into the Mariott in Plano.
Aaron and Stefani flew in on a later flight and they stayed at her folks house.

On Saturday morning, Joe, Sarah and I explored Dallas.
Aaron and Stefani were helping with final preparations for the reception that night.

In Dallas we saw these Bull statues:

We visited the sad grassy knoll (J.F.K):

I won't go into all the details of our day.
Lets just say we drove a lot and the freeways are terrible.

Reception #2 was at the Truesdell home in McKinny Texas,

Getting ready:

In the living room:

My sister, Denise, came!!!!
She drove from Arkansas.
I wasn't sure she would really be there. I haven't seen her in a very long time!
We had such a fun time talking!

She's wearing high heels and I'm in flats here:

We had a great evening.

On Sunday our plane wasn't leaving until evening.
This is possibly the only time we will be in Texas. We went to the Perot Museum in Dallas.
By we, I mean; Joe, Sarah and me. Aaron and Stef had things to do at the house:

This Amethyst Geode is bigger than a person:

The museum was large with many interesting sections.

The Truesdells invited us back to their home for a late lunch, before we headed out for the airport.
We loaded up a lot of Stefanis' belongings.

Just after take off:

The four of us were on the same flight this time.
It's a 2 hour 40 minute flight:

It was an adventure, If this was a vacation, we all need a vacation from our vacation now.  Some people have to go to work in the morning.

Fathers Day

For Fathers Day, Aaron and Stefani spent the day with us. They came to church with us, where I was a main speaker! I'm sure glad that's over!

The 'kids' put together a nice dinner. They grilled bratts and hamburgers. There was also a nice salad.

After that we went for a walk.

Married a whole week now:

Happy Fathers Day to my dad too!!

Soldier Hollow Pow Wow 2013

Aaron and Stefani got back from their honeymoon in Hawaii this morning! They had an all night flight. By this evening they felt rested enough to go to the Soldier Hollow Pow Wow with us  (In spite of Hawaiian sunburns).

I still use Moms buckskin shawl at Pow Wow's:

Many people drove or flew great distances to attend. It was very impressive.
Thanks to family and friends who came to one or more of the wedding events
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes and gifts whether it was possible to come or not.
We have one more reception to attend for the couple in Texas. Party, party.

The professional photographer was very busy. She got lots of nice shots and included people I have missed.
