Memorial Day

Lucky for us we know our Mountains well.
We avoided the Memorial Day crowds.
We walked a short and easy trail to a little known lake:

Don't let the snow fool you.
It was a very warm and beautiful day today:

Below the lake is a meadow pond.
We could watch ducks and listen to frogs.
We saw a couple of deer on this walk too:

Life makes sense on a Mountain trail.

Robin

My sister, Robin, came up from California to her sons home in Spanish Fork.
She came to tend her grandchildren for a week while her son and his wife were in Hawaii.
My folks invited me to come along and see her.


Robin designed this front walk and patio.
My nephews home has a big backyard, with a white vinyl fence all around it,
but this was the fun place to sit.

Pizza and watermelon:

This is my first time seeing where my nephew lives now.
They live only 10 minutes from Utah Lake.
It's easy for them to just take their  boat out to the lake for a little playtime.

We Found Miners Lettuce

We did find lots of Miners Lettuce on this walk and we ate a handful.
 If you want to know what it looks like, you won't find it on here though.

We rested here before turning back:

It turned dark just before we reached the car.
That's always an adventure.
This is how we decompress after a work day.

Aaron is 29! (Mothers Day Baby)

Aaron is 29! He's a Mothers Day baby!
It's not quite as bad as being a Christmas baby.
He was born on May 10th, 1985.

Aaron's sister and  wife made dinner.
He chose chocolate cake.
I'm not sure it's his favorite, but it's definitely  mine!

Of course we got out the baby pictures etc...

Aaron and Stefani have  been married almost a year:

Evening Picnic

This evening Aaron and Stefani came up to the house.
First we all went for a walk along the foothills.
