Aarons Bike Race and Fathers Day

Today we had two events.
First Aaron rode in the Huntsman bike race. It was 75 miles! He finished too.
It started at Fort Douglas, went out to Saratoga Springs, then looped back to Fort Douglas.

His sweet wife, Stefani, followed the entire course and was there at every pit stop through out the day.
His dad and little sister did the same.

Old Mom just showed up at the Sandy watering hole, to give support.

Getting back on the road:

I'm sure his wife has good pictures of the whole course.
Good Job Aaron!!

Later we had dinner at my sisters house in Pleasant View.
Tomorrow is Fathers Day:

Debera made Memory books of Mom for all of us.
Debs amazing!

A few of us went for a little walk.

It was quite a day, especially for Aaron!
Debera, Thanks for the get together and the wonderful book.
Dad, Happy Fathers Day. We Love You!!

Exploring and Fishing in Heber

This July, Joe and I will be spending 3 days and 2 nights in a cabin in the Heber area. We are doing it half price with Groupon.
Today was to explore and pick out which cabin we want to use and set the reservation.
We picked one that faces the hills and a small river. It has a shade tree and a nice deck.
Of course while we were in the area, we had to go fishing.
We also picked up lunch from the Dairy Keen on main street and took it over to the park.

On a bridge:

We've played at fishing in this spot before:

It's really about being outside and just escaping for a little while:

I got to use my new camp chair and tackle box:

Some people think fishing is boring.
I don't. I like it!
When I want to be more active I go hiking.

There is some possibility that we will retire to a cabin in the hills here someday.
It's just talk at this point.

I am adding one thing.
We saw a Yellow Headed Black Bird near the Deer Creek Reservoir.
This is it:
