Aarons Yard Project

Aaron has moved out of his apartment and is temporarily staying at our house until he is allowed to move into his new condo.
When he's not at work, he's in my yard gardening.

Pulling out rocks:

He claims that digging and pulling up rocks is fun:

He is running a pipe out to the corner of the yard to make it easier to water.
It's an area that has never really thrived, but he thinks he can turn it into a vegetable garden.

Aaron is getting married on June 8th.

Cooking And Cleaning

The nice part of having adult 'children' is they spontaneously do cooking and cleaning.

Sarah organized the pantry:

Aaron  making bagels.

Wouldn't you like to have a kitchen that cleans itself and produces food for you too?!

This morning Joe, and Aaron brought home 8 deck chairs:

Spring is here, and we are looking forward to a wedding!

Aarons Proposal To Stefani

Aaron proposed marriage to Stefani tonight.

It all happened at the B.Y.U.  Bell Tower (Where they first met):

Sarah and Kaeli prepared with flowers and candles:

We have a shrine thing going here.

Now we wait:

Now we hide.
Kaeli will bring Stefani here.
Another friend of hers (Debra) has joined us:

Aaron came before Stefani:

Just before the proposal:

After the proposal.

Our newly engaged couple:

Keeping the candles going:

Who knew that Aaron was so romantic?!:

Here's a video of the proposal:

Emmas Baptism

On Friday Joe and I got up early and drove to North Peoria, outside of Phoenix, for our grand daughters baptism.
We saw some pretty sights along the way. My favorite place was the Vermillion Cliffs, in Arizona.

At Lees Ferry I bought a necklace and a ring:

Emma's baptism was on Saturday.

Pretty Emma:

We're travel weary and rumpled but we are glad that we could make it:

On Tuesday we returned through the Navajo Reservation (same way we went down).
We like our Lees Ferry stop. We always walk across the bridge:

I drove the whole way back! Hooray for me!

We stopped at Jacobs Lake Inn for lunch.
Just for the record, my own name for the area is Jacob's puddle.

Thanks to Sue and Ben for inviting us.

Sarah's Birthday (24!)

It's a little shocking that my youngest child is 24! Oh my goodness!

Birthday highlights:
A mother/daughter outing to the local aquarium.
In the evening her brother joined us at an Italian Restaurant.

Brio Restaurant:

After dinner Sarah's brother took her to the mall and bought her some clothes!
What a nice guy.

At home we had big frosted cupcakes:

Happy Birthday Sarah!! You're a sweet girl.

Dog Lake Trail In Winter

In  Big Cottonwood Canyon we parked below Donut Falls. We crossed to the North side of the road and got on the Dog Lake trail.  We used our snow shoes.

This is the sun:

It snowed lightly on us much of the time, but the exercise kept us warm.

The picture that I took of Joe was a disaster (sorry).
It was a good walk. We are always in a battle against the 'couch potato' bodies.

An Active Saturday

Today was a full day. First, we got up early to go snow shoeing.
Sarah had to go to work. We'll take her next time.

Aaron and Stefani:

Trio:

The old folks (comparatively):

King of the mountain (or maybe just king of the picnic tables):

Aaron and Stef managed to fall down in the snow together.

Later Aaron and Stef tried the sledding hill.

There they are!:

Joe and I were supposed to be to a B.Y.U. Dance program at 2:00.
We were 10 minutes late, but made it to our assigned seating.

Before going home we ate dinner at Cubby's. Its a hamburger place.
