Fathers Day 2010

Happy Fathers day to my own dad and to my husband. Many thanks to my youngest daughter for cooking an entire meal today.
With a little help from her brother, she first cooked a pork roast in a dutch oven. This took place out on the patio.
The pork was then shredded. We piled this onto hamburger buns with some Barbecue sauce and coleslaw. Yes the coleslaw goes inside the sandwich. I've never had anything like it.
They were really the best sandwiches I've ever tried.
She also made some thick home fries. This girl can cook.
Finally she fattened us up with a blueberry/strawberry trifle. This is like a layered cheese cake.

After dinner we went into the dining room to play Qwirkle.

This boy is a character. He keeps us smiling:

I'm sad I missed out on the yummy meal. Glad it was a great Father's Day. We played Quirkle on Father's Day too... up here at the cabin. Sorry it didn't work out for me to keep score for you guys! That would have been funny. :) See you in 10 days!!!
