He had to kneel on the hard concrete floor, but he got the job done:
Later he removed sod, leveled the ground and put a liner down.
Sarah helped us haul wheel barrows of dirt and also helped with the filling of the box.
She was a cheerful and willing helper:
Look at that! Three boxes for growing vegetables. We do need to stain them, so they are better protected from the weather though :
It was safe to plant the spinach and kale, but nothing else. Theres already a bit of parsley growing, which survived over winter.
We have the beginnings of a backyard mini-farm.

Love the garden boxes. My daughter put one in at her house last year and is planning another. The herbs did quite well in Ohio.
You guys worked hard today! I'm impressed it got all done in one Saturday. You are definitely going to love having even more space to grow yummy food! :)
