We went to a little known place on the North side of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It only took about 30 minutes to walk to the lake.
This is out in the field. Nothing is green yet.
Ground squirrel:
Near the bottom of the canyon, we stopped and walked around this picnic area.

that little hike looks great! the grandkids would most definitely love it - they would love to run around the field and throw rocks in the lake :)
