Tending, Day 5

I don't have a blog for day 4 (Friday), since I had my church job to go to in the afternoon. On that morning, Joe took the big kids to Wheeler Farm while I watched baby. Then I left him in charge from 1:00-6:30.

 This morning I got back to the business of being grandma. I cooked breakfast, gave baths, packed a picnic and took the gang to our canyon. Baby and  grandpa stayed home.


First we explored our Quarry Park.

After Quarry park, I drove a little further up the canyon to a trail that is shady:

We picked a few flowers to look up in a book later:

Our frequent stops usually involved sitting right down on the side of the trail:

We got back to the house just before 1:00 and had bowls of chocolate chunk ice cream with  choc syrup (sounds healthy doesn't it?) Then Jacob went down for his nap.
Later, their grandpa took the kids to Wheeler Farm to see a cow get milked. Emma and Becca gave it a try. I hear Jacob didn't want anything to do with that!
